AUTO INSURANCEA new era in Nova Scotia politics started Aug. 5, 2004 when cranky voters erased John Hamm's majority government, forcing the premier to search out allies in the opposition ranks. "Nova Scotia politics just got a lot more interesting," a smiling Hamm told supporters at his victory party.
"One way or the other, the Hamm government is going to have to find a way to deal with those issues because that's what's on the mind of the voters. We need to work together and the key to all of this will be the courage of the people who are involved."
